Jorgensen, Joel David Sr.

Joel David Jorgensen Sr., age 68 of Weyauwega, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Savior on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Cherry Meadows Hospice Residence as a result of complications from a lung infection and surgery.

He was born in New London, Wisconsin on September 25, 1952, son of the late Everette and Lucille (Gehrke) Jorgensen. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church where he was a lifetime member. He attended St. Peter Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Weyauwega High School in 1970. He also attended Fox Valley Technical Institute for electrical and personal computer courses. In 1979, he graduated from Harley Davidson Service School and worked for Connie’s Harley Davidson in Manawa. For many years, he worked at various manufacturing companies in the area doing equipment maintenance, development, and electrical work. Joel loved to putz on anything with wheels and a motor. Joel was united in marriage with Linda Sztuczko in 1971, then later united in marriage to Lisa Roebke in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf cart rides and relaxing outside the homestead.

Joel is survived by his sons: Joel Jorgensen Jr. (special friend, Julie), Johnathan Jorgensen (special friend, Matea); daughter, Tara (Frank) Ralls; stepdaughter, Tonya (Lee) Vanevenhoven; sisters, Janet (Marty) Duccini, Karen (Dan) Heins; brother, Kevin Jorgensen. He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Christian Funeral for Joel will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation for Joel will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 -10:45 a.m. Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral & Cremation Care of Weyauwega is assisting the family.
