Writer discusses Chain O’ Lakes

Historical program at Danes Hall

The crystal clear waters and beautiful landscapes of the Chain O’ Lakes have made the 22 lakes and nearby Waupaca a tourist destination.

From early Mound Builders and the Menominee Indians to white settlers and now tourists, the Chain O’Lakes has been a popular location for thousands of years.

Author Zachary Bishop will present this story through images from his recent book.

“In All the World, No Lakes Like These: Images of the Waupaca Chain O’Lakes” is slated for 6 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the Danes Hall.

Bishop’s book, published in 2020, details the history of the Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes. The book will be available for purchase at the program.

The program takes place in the upper level of the Danes Hall at 301 N. Main Street.

This program is sponsored by the Danes Hall, A.J. Holly and Sons, and Kitt Fedoroff.
