Leo H. Immel, age 70, of New London, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
He was born in Appleton on January 15, 1951 to Victor and Mabel (Gasper) Immel. Leo enjoyed a variety of activities including camping, fishing, boating, playing cribbage and sheepshead. He had an impeccable sense of humor and was always joking around. He loved to spend time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Thomas (Tina) Immel of Shiocton, Christopher (Angela) Immel of New London, and Sara Immel of New London; grandchildren: Alexis, Parker, Madison, Emery, Paige (Jake) Schonewitz, Prestyn and Landyn Buelow; significant other, Eleanor Lindner of New London; siblings: Randy (Karen) Immel of Northport, Victor (June) Immel of Appleton, Cindy (Bob) Kroke of Fremont, and Robin Immel of Waupaca; the mother of his children, Deb Immel of New London; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Cheryl Immel, Wanda Gurholt, Dawn Immel Bolssen; and a nephew, Shawn Young.
A celebration of life will be held at Hatten Park in New London on Sunday, July 25, 2021, beginning at 1 p.m. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
