Donald A. Drath, age 73, New London, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
He was born on July 31, 1947, in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of Dale and Betty (Behnke) Drath. Don served his country in the US Army. On September 8, 1979, he was united in marriage to Debra Young. Don loved being up north, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He worked for over 30 years as an auto body repairman for Russ Darrow Chrysler/Dodge in Appleton.
Don is survived by his wife Debra; mother Betty Drath; children, Tim (Diana) Drath, Brian (Nikole) Drath, and Tracy (Tanya) Carpenter; grandchildren Xavier, Tatum, Owen, Brooklyn, Quinn, Allyson, Jarid, Blake, and Chase; great-grandchildren Hazel and Maeve; siblings, Gary Drath (special friend, Cherri), Rick (Debbie) Drath, Kenny (Wendy) Drath, and Sharon (Tom) Secor; and Coco his faithful companion, who he loved dearly. He is further survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
His father Dale and a son Danny preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Don will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schultz officiating. Military Rites will be held at the church. Burial will be in the Turney Hill Cemetery, Town of Liberty. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
