Fun Daze set for July 31

Embarrass firefighters host event

The Embarrass Volunteer Fire Department will host its 32nd annual Embarrass Fun Daze at the Embarrass Park Saturday, July 31.

Activities will start with the Fun Daze Craft and Flea Market to be held next to Zimdar’s Plumbing and Heating from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact Jeannine at 715-823-3655 for seller space and more information.

A King and Queen volleyball tournament will begin at 9 a.m. For more information contact Ryan at Korth’s Badger Tap or call 715-279-6215.

The Clintonville Youth Baseball league will hold a four-team tournament to be played at the park.

At 11 a.m. there will be a parade starting on the East end of town and proceeding down Main Street to State Highway 22. Cash prizes will be awarded for best entry in four categories: most original, most humorous, best commercial and best club or church organization entry.

This year Mike Fletcher will be honored as 2021 Parade Marshal. Mike has been getting up before the sun rises for many years and opening the doors to Fletcher’s Corner Store in Embarrass.

The Embarrass Fun Daze will continue in the Embarrass Fireman’s Park, with free entertainment by Lovin’ Country from noon to 4 p.m.

Haws Construction has donated a large inflatable for kids.

At 2 p.m. the Doubles Bag Toss Tournament will begin, sign up for the tournament is at 1 p.m. the day of the event.

The day will conclude with music by Jim Gaff and the Coyote Posse from 7-11 p.m.

Food and refreshments will be served all day.

The Embarrass Volunteer Fire Department will use proceeds from this event for updating equipment, training, and maintenance of Fireman’s Park.
