Morgan faces meth charges

Deputies say former recovery coach sold meth

Keenan Morgan, 63, Waupaca, was charged Aug. 10 with four counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one count each of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and felony bail jumping.

According to the criminal complaint, Morgan allegedly sold meth on July 22, July 28, July 30 and Aug. 3 to a confidential informant working with Waupaca County deputies.

On Aug. 5, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Morgan’s residence and seized meth, cocaine, marijuana and a digital scale.

Morgan is currently in custody on a $10,000 cash bond.

He faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted of delivery of methamphetamine.

In 2016-18, Morgan was a certified recovery coach who led a support group called Keenan’s Corner for drug addicts and their families in Waupaca.

Prior record

On April 29, 2021, Waupaca County charged Morgan with possession of cocaine and felony bail jumping. He was released from custody after posting a $1,000 cash bond.

On Oct. 20, 2020, Waupaca County charged Morgan in two separate felony cases with delivery of heroin, delivery of amphetamine and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. He was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.

On Nov. 5, 2018, Waupaca County placed Morgan on three years of probation after being convicted of possession of meth. His probation was revoked on March 25, 2020, and he was sentenced to one year in county jail with release privileges.

On Aug. 15, 2012, Wood County sentenced Morgan to four years in state prison and three years of extended supervision for delivery of heroin and cocaine.

On Dec. 8, 2003, Dane County sentenced Morgan to 18 months in state prison as a habitual criminal for theft and 45 days in county jail for disorderly conduct.

On Nov. 7, 2001, Dane County sentenced Morgan to 18 months in state prison for victim intimidation and disorderly conduct.

On Feb. 18, 2000, Dane County sentenced Morgan to 90 days in jail for possession of cocaine.
