Wilde, Gwen E.

Gwen E. Wilde, age 66 of Waupaca, passed away on Saturday September 4, 2021.

Gwen was born on February 8, 1955, the daughter of Allen Ovenshire and Betty (Roeglin) Domask. Gwen married David Wilde on September 11, 2010 in Waupaca. Gwen worked in the hospitality industry and retail. She is fondly remembered as a waitress for Katie’s downtown, Jansen’s Restaurant and The Frontier. You could rely on Gwen for her quick, friendly, and warm-hearted service. Gwen was not only quick on her feet, but also with her comebacks and sense of humor. She loved the Christmas holiday and decorated extravagantly for it. She had also worked for Cottage Gardens where most of her décor came from. Gwen never missed a day of work, loved splurging on outfits, and always, always had her nails and hair done. Gwen loved her country home and life with her beloved husband, Dave. She kept her busy-bodied-self occupied with her flower gardens and outside decorations, she positively loved flowers. Gwen was a dedicated wife, loving sister, devoted step-mom, and faithful friend. She will be missed by all whom knew and loved her. She was simply one of a kind with her deep laugh, vivacious love for family and friends, and zippy personality.

Gwen is survived by her husband David Wilde of Waupaca; her brothers, Curt (Carol Killy) Domask and Caleb Domask; nephew Chance (Dana) Inderdahl; stepsons, Ron (Phyllis) Dain and Jim “Jimmy” (Sheila) Dain; father and mother in-law, Vern and Judy Wilde; brother-in-law, Greg (Val Eckert) Wilde; sister-in-law Laurie (Tom) Thyssen and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
