Event planned at Waupaca Rec Center grounds

Rotary Club will hold Oktoberfest Friday, Sept. 10, on the grounds of the Waupaca Rec Center, 415 School St.

A selection of local craft beers, German imports and fine wines will be available throughout the night.

Other highlights include food, drink, music, dancing, a game of Hammerschalgen and a 50/50 raffle.

The event begins at 5 p.m. with traditional German food provided by Schueller’s Great Exspechtations.

The Charlie Justman band performs live music from 5:30-8 p.m.

From 8-11 p.m. Hijinx will rock the tent while the Red Wagon Mobile Kitchen will serve late night munchies.

Proceeds support scholarships, grants, and programs in the Waupaca community and around the world.

Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the gate.
