Public meeting on downtown

Clintonville seeks citizen input on revitalization

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension  will hold a downtown revitalization kickoff event from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27.

The event will be held at the Clintonville High School, and is intended for anyone who lives or works in Clintonville, owns a local business, or wants to see the downtown thrive.

“This is a time for information and feedback, and really this is hopefully going to be the initial kickoff, initial event that will kind of launch the community-driven effort for revitalizing the downtown,” City Administrator Sharon Eveland said  at the Sept. 14 city council meeting.

“One of the biggest things we’ve been trying to take this as, is this is not city directive,” Eveland said. “We really want this to be community driven. The city is going to serve in a support role. We want the community to decide what they want to see and where they want to see it, how they want to see it. We really hope that we can get a lot of people there at that meeting.”
