The match was much closer than the final score showed.

Weyauwega-Fremont’s volleyball team won three of four games Sept. 27 in its annual matchup with Manawa, but had to come from behind to pick up the win.

Manawa had opened the match with a 25-22 win, but it turned out to be the Wolves’ only set win.

The Warhawks answered with a 25-23 win in the second game and closed out the match with a pair of 26-24 wins.

Manawa returned to Central Wisconsin Conference-North play Sept. 28 by hosting White Lake, while Weyauwega-Fremont headed to Iola-Scandinavia for a CWC-East match.

Both teams have division matches scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 5. Manawa will travel to Gresham, while the Warhawks will host Menominee Indian.
