After 12 years of service to the Iola community, officer Curt Field has retired from the Iola Police Department.

Field was the police chief in Weyauwega before coming to Iola.

“I got burned out with the administrative part of the job and came here,” he said. “I fell in love with this place. The vibe of this community is like no other. Iola will always have a special spot with me.”

Waupaca County Sheriff Tim Wilz thanked Field for his service.

“Curt had a great working relationship with everyone in the county,” he said. “He was a fantastic officer. We will miss a great brother in law enforcement and appreciate everything that he has done for us.”
