Two days after being swept by Luxemburg-Casco, the Waupaca volleyball team was looking to bounce back in its next North Eastern Conference match.

Oconto Falls, however, had other ideas, as the Panthers took three of four sets from the Comets Sept. 30 at Waupaca High School.

The Panthers opened the match with 25-22 and 25-19 wins. Waupaca forced a fourth game with a 25-23 win in the third set, but Oconto Falls wrapped up the match with a 26-24 win.

Waupaca fell to 3-3 in conference matches and the Panthers improved to 3-3.

The Comets rebounded from the loss Oct. 2 by winning the Oshkosh North Invitational.

Waupaca defeated Oshkosh North, Green Bay East, Green Bay East and Roncalli once and beat Reedsburg twice.

The Comets hosted Denmark Oct. 5 and will travel to Appleton Thursday, Oct. 7, to face Fox Valley Lutheran.
