A potent offense and a stingy defense added up to a Homecoming win for the Iola-Scandinavia football team.

Parker Prahl scored five rushing touchdowns and the Thunderbirds held Rosholt to 92 yards of office Oct. 7 in a 52-0 win over the Hornets.

It didn’t take the home team long to score, as Isaiah Hoyord returned the opening kickoff 75 yards. Prahl added touchdown runs of 13 and 9 yards and the T-Birds took a 21-0 lead into the second quarter.

Prahl added scoring runs of 24 and 1 yards in the second quarter and Carter Melum added a 9-yard touchdown run.

Prahl found the end zone for the fifth time with a 14-yard run in the third quarter and Ryan Kampert finished the scoring with a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Prahl finished with 147 rushing yards and the T-Birds had a 286-92 advantage in total yards.

The T-Birds have already qualified for the WIAA playoffs and are scheduled to wrap up the regular season at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, with a Central Wisconsin Conference-Small contest at Pittsville.
