Students present ‘Into the Woods’

New London’s fall musical opens Nov. 5

Students of New London High School will present “Into the Woods.”

The musical is slated for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5-6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at the high school auditorium, 1700 Klatt Road.

With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondhiem and the book by James Lapine, “Into the Woods” explores the stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and other fairy tale characters.

Each fairy tale is both familiar and tangled.

The characters’ wishes are granted, but the consequences are unexpected and often tragic.

Cast members include Kailyn Magolski as the Narrator, Olivet Stein as Cinderella, Kayden Kloehn as Jack, Bailey Polsin as Jack’s Mother, Peyton Walz as Little Red Riding Hood, Nick Leone as the Baker, Alaena Wolf as the Baker’s Wife, Blaike Zwiers as Cinderella’s Step Mother, Beth Willner and Nadia Banaszynski as the Stepsisters,

Ava Bellis as the Witch, Nolan Sobert as the Wolf, Lizzie Perryman as both Snow Shite and the Giant, Renna Amaral as Cinderella’s Mother, Maggie Kane as Cinderella’s Father, Trevor Bohringer as Mysterious Man, Raigan Lindholm as Granny, Raina Swiggum as Rapunzel, Zong Xiong as Rapunzel’s Prince, Ben Stillwell as Cinderella’s Prince, Skylar Leist as the Steward and Halia Knapp as Sleeping Beauty.
