Students will present “Authors and Actors Theatre Festival” at Waupaca Middle School auditorium, at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 11-12.

Now in its fourth year, the festival features a hodge-podge of skits and musical performances.

Highlights include “Poetry Musical Chairs” with a poetry written by middle schoolers and “Panchatantra,” a fable with Gumption vs. Commonsense set in India.

“No Puns in Punsylvania” is a one-act play where a new law bans puns and the police try to enforce the law by charging the Energizer bunny with battery, arresting a turkey for fowl play, and questioning the celery about stalking.

The performance is directed by Amy Holterman and Jenny Lewis.

A $7 donation is suggested. Veterans are admitted free in honor of Veterans Day.
