Thunderbirds beat Wautoma

A big first half led to a season-opening win for the Iola-Scandinavia girls’ basketball team.
The Thunderbirds outscored Wautoma 35-21 in the first half Nov. 18 and went on to post a 57-48 nonconference win over the Hornets.
Iola-Scandinavia traveled to Wild Rose Nov. 22 and will host Pittsville Tuesday, Nov. 30. The T-Birds are also scheduled to host Manawa Thursday, Dec. 2. Tipoff for both games is set for 7:15 p.m.
