Schultz, Delores R.

Delores R. Schultz, age 84 of the Township of Larrabee, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 17, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Delores Ruth Schultz was born November 9, 1937 in the Township of Lebanon, Waupaca County, daughter to the late Charles and Verna (Roehl) Baird. She graduated from New London High School and was later united in marriage to Robert “Bucky” L. Schultz at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London, on October 11, 1958. Delores was a long-time member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where she was a cook for the school, served on Ladies Aid for funeral lunches, helped with seated communion, and took part in church book club. She loved watching the birds at the feeder, and all of the wildlife in the backyard. You never went hungry if Delores had anything to say about it; she loved hosting large family meals at her home, and her cooking/baking skills were impressive. Some of her favorite times were spent with her and Bucky’s life-long neighborhood friends, hosting, going to parties, or getting together to play cards. If a Polka song came on, they never missed an opportunity to get out on the dance floor. She was able to travel quite a bit over the years, visiting 49 states, and enjoying the annual fishing trip to Pelican Lake in Orr, MN. Delores adored her grandchildren and rarely missed their sporting events or their fair entries. Her homemade Christmas candy was legendary, enjoyed by all, and commanded high bids when it was sold at her grandkid’s school auction fundraisers. Delores will be remembered for her faith, her endearing smile, and the gentle way she showed love for family and friends.

Delores is survived by her children: Jody Schultz, Jan (Jon) Henschel, and Jay (Kristi) Schultz; grandchildren: Justin Henschel, Jennifer (Griffin) Wiley, Jordan (Carmen) Henschel, and Ella and Charles Schultz; great-grandchildren: Cooper and Scout Wiley and Amelia Henschel; sister, Faye Oestreich; sisters-in-law, Mildred Schultz and Lolly Weber; also, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bucky” Schultz; a brother, Russell Baird in childhood, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Brian Weber officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville, at 2:45 p.m. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her family as a memorial fund will be established. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting the Schultz family.
