Snodeo royalty announced

Manawa winter event slated for Feb. 19-20

Iola-Scandinavia High School sophomores Vivian Stelse and Myah and Maci Heschke will reign as royalty for Manawa’s Snodeo, set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19-20.
Stelse has been chosen as Snodeo Queen. The daughter of Greg and Leah Stelse, she said she is honored to represent the annual event.
“I love the community,” she said. “Others should definitely take part in Snodeo. You meet a lot of great people. The Snodeo crew does an amazing job getting everything organized and making it a fun winter activity.”
During the winter, Stelse enjoys ice skating with friends and watching the Snodeo.
The Heschkes, daughters of Jeff and Sarah Heschke, will serve and princesses for the event.
“I feel honored to be a princess at the Manawa Snodeo because it’s a great winter event,” Myah said. “I love being a part of the community events and activities.”
“The Snodeo is a great community event,” Maci said. “I feel honored to be selected as a snow princess with my friend and sister.”
Myah enjoys snowmobiling and cross-country skiing, while Maci enjoys snowmobiling, skiing, tubing and ice fishing.
“Everyone should take part in Snodeo to learn what it’s all about and enjoy the winter season,” Myah said.
“I recommend this fun winter activity to others,” Maci added. “It is a great way to help support your community.”
