Cass, Kathleen “Kathy”

Kathleen “Kathy” Cass, age 76 of Bear Creek passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
The former Kathleen Ann Goese was born on February 19, 1945 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, to Hugo and Irene (Rehbein) Goese. She graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1964. Later in life, she went on to Fox Valley Tech – Clintonville for an associate degree in Medical Transcription. Kathy was united in marriage in 1974 to Henry “Hank” Cass. The couple shared a number of good years together and were blessed with a daughter Peggy. Kathy worked for many years at Zwicker Knitting Mill, Appleton. She then was employed for some time at LaCrosse Footwear, Clintonville. Kathy also did some seasonal work for a short time at Sturm Foods, Manawa. She met the love of her life, Ken Schoenheide, and the couple had close to 32 wonderful years together. They enjoyed going out for breakfast most mornings at Jerry & Pat’s Cafe and then at the Home Plate Cafe. Kathy is a former Clintonville Moose Lodge member and helped with all sorts of projects. For many years, Kathy and Ken liked going out for a fish fry at the Moose Lodge or at Don’s Supper Club. Kathy’s main interest was taking care of her horses, going for trail rides, showing them off in local parades, and working hard on the farm. She also liked playing games on the computer, was an awesome cook and baker, especially cookies and other sweets. Kathy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Spaulding (partner Jerry Schoenheide) of Bear Creek. There are four grandchildren: Wendy Spaulding, Sondra Dankert (husband Jacob Dankert), Clint Hattermann, and Destiney Hattermann (fiancé Andrew Slamka); and two like grandchildren, Brooke and Kristyn. There are five great-grandchildren: Zane, Zeya, Carter, Jacoby, and Kira. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Hank Cass; and her life partner Ken Schoenheide on Sept. 27, 2019.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 9th at 4:00 p.m. at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Pastor Steven Devroy will officiate and inurnment will be at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
