Comets fall to Truckers

Rematch set for Feb. 15 in Waupaca

Clintonville’s boys’ basketball team handed Waupaca a 67-50 North Eastern Conference loss Jan. 11.

The Truckers outscored the Comets 35-25 in the first half and added to their lead with a 32-25 advantage over the next 18 minutes.

Brayden Branstrom and Braiden Behnke led Clintonville with 19 and 14 points, respectively, while Luke Schwenn led Waupaca with 15 points and Aaron Wolff added 10.

Both teams have North Eastern games scheduled for Friday, Jan. 21. Waupaca will host Marinette, while Clintonville will head to Little Chute. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
