Manawa wins battle of Wolves

Gorman leads Manawa boys

The Manawa boys’ basketball team remained undefeated in Central Wisconsin-North Conference play Jan. 18 after handing Wisconsin Valley Lutheran a 65-16 defeat.

Nathan Gorman and Tanner Nienhaus scored 12 points each in the first half to give the Wolves a 39-10 lead at the break.

Manawa proved to be too hard to handle in the second half and outscored Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 26-6.
Gorman led all players with 17 points, followed by Nienhaus with 12.

Bjorn Leafblad led Wisconsin Valley Lutheran with six points.

Manawa improved to 6-0 in the CWC-East and 6-6 overall, while the Wolves fell to 2-4 in the CWC-East and 2-6 overall.
