Shirley Ann Davidson of Weyauwega, formerly of Neenah, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
She was born in Ogdensburg on February 15, 1936 to the late Alfred and Evelyn (Marquard) Steinbach. She married Kenneth Davidson on May 5, 1956. Shirley attended Symco Elementary, St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Little Wolf High School, graduating in 1955. She worked in Appleton at AAL and Homestead Mutual. Then she was a stay-at-home mom and worked in the office for her husband and his businesses, Ken’s Tree Service and then Ken’s Bait Shop. She worked from 1977 until retiring in 1998 at Badger Highways Company. Shirley enjoyed fishing, crocheting and hand quilting, sewing quillos for Christmas gifts for her children and grandchildren. She also loved attending to flowers, outside gardens and house plants. Shirley enjoyed gambling too.
She will be missed by her children: Janice (Roger) DeMars, Bruce (significant other, Mary Jo Fletcher) Davidson, Ron Davidson, Mitch (Nancy) Davidson; grandchildren: Timothy (friend, Tonya) DeMars, Matt (Katie) DeMars, Eric (Nicole) Davidson, Kurt (Kim) Davidson, Randy (friend, Chrisy) Davidson, Emma and Anna Davidson; step-grandchildren: Jamie (Eric) Sager, Adam (friend, Jessica) Wickesberg, great-grandchildren: Zaylee, Claire, Lyla, Keith, Lucy, and Everly; step-great-grandchildren: Hailey, Aiden, Brandon, Chaseline, Katelyn and Dakota; siblings: Wayne (Lorraine) Steinbach, Gary Steinbach, Dennis (Darlene) Steinbach, Diane (Gary) Brummer; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven; in-laws, John (Marie) Davidson, Rogene (Louis) Hentz, Retta Obermeier, Neal (Elva) Davidson and Pat (Bob) Keen.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank Moments Hospice and Island Shores for all their care of mom. Any memorials will be directed to the American Heart Association.
