John “Bud” E. Poris of Waupaca, age 91, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at home, with his family.
He was born in Green Bay on January 9, 1931 to the late George and Sophie Poris. On May 7, 1955 he married Rose Hartwig, she preceded him in death on July 22, 2010. John was a veteran of the Army, serving in Alaska, discharged in September of 1953. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Waupaca. John retired from J.J. Keller and Associates in 1996. He was a member of Waupaca Model Railroad Club for many years.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Peggy (Gary) Marta, Barbara (Kelly) Lehl, Robert (Laurie) Poris; grandchildren: Stacey (Matt) Jenson, Steven (Meghan) Lehl, Kristy (Tony) Williams; great-grandchildren: Owen and Drew Jenson, Grady Lehl and Grayson Williams, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph and sister, Katie Soufal.
The Memorial Service will be on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, E1887 King Road, Waupaca. The visitation will be on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Military Honors will be held at church following the service. The Maple Crest Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
