Replogle, Albert “Duffy” C.

Albert “Duffy” C. Replogle, age 91, of Waupaca, WI passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, January 24, 2022.

He was born October 20, 1930 in Waupaca, son of Carl T. and Nona (Albert) Replogle. Duffy served in the U.S. Army from October 28, 1948 until he was honorably discharged on October 11, 1952. On December 2, 1961, he married Jacqualin “Jackie” Mathison in Milwaukee, WI and together through the years they raised two wonderful children. Duffy played for the Lakeman Baseball Team from 1948 – 1963. He enjoyed watching baseball and always said he was “rooting for the Brewers but his heart was with the Cubs”. Duffy enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He and Jackie were members for a number of years at Glacier Wood Golf Course in Iola as he received his one and only hole in one on hole #3. Duffy will be dearly missed by all of his loving family and many friends.

Duffy is survived by his wife of 60 years Jackie Replogle of Waupaca; two children, Julie Ann Replogle of Waupaca and Andy (Dacia) Replogle of Waupaca; his one and only adored granddaughter Jayne (special friend Zjon Davis) Barber of Clintonville; three sisters, Evelyn “Evie” Nelson of Waupaca, Reva (Layner) Moen of Waupaca, and Linda Ellingson of West Allis; and also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nona Replogle and two brothers-in-law, Dennis Ellingson and Loyd Nelson.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, E1887 King Road, Waupaca, WI 54981. Reverend Brian Roehrborn will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment of his cremains will take place at a later date at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Activities Department at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
