Win a game, lose a game.

That’s been the story of the season lately for the New London boys’ basketball team.

Xavier scored the first 13 points and went on to a 58-35 Bay Conference win over the Bulldogs Jan. 25 at New London High School.

The Hawks came into the game with a 5-2 record in the Bay and led by as many as 18 points in the first half before taking a 29-13 lead into the locker room at halftime.

New London never got any closer than 13 points in the second half and trailed by as many as 26 points late in the game.

Kyle Wisniewski led the Bulldogs with eight points, while Carson Hehli led Xavier with 12.

New London will travel to Menasha Friday, Jan. 28, for a Bay rematch with the Bluejays before heading to Mosinee Tuesday, Feb. 1.
