Waller, Gertrude L.

Gertrude L. Waller, age 93, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Park Vista Legacy in Waupaca.

She was born in Fremont, WI on October 6, 1928, a daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Schmidt) Schiesser. Gert married Donald Waller on October 18, 1947 in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1995. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Gert worked at Zwicker Knitting Mill for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling. Gert loved spending time with her family and friends. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. Gert loved to laugh and a zest to just live life to its fullest.

Sur­vivors in­clude her chil­dren: Gale (Kris) Waller, Wau­paca, WI; Shirley Carl­son, Loyal, WI; Bev­erly (Jeff) Olson, Wau­paca, WI; daugh­ter-in-law, Cindy Waller-Sigl, Florida; nine grand­chil­dren, 17 great-grand­chil­dren, three great-great-grand­chil­dren and a brother, Leonard (Car­o­line) Guthu, Wau­paca, WI. She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, step­fa­ther – Ben­jamin Guthu, hus­band – Don­ald, son – Richard, grand­son – Erik, son-in-law – Dan Carlson Sr. and eight sib­lings.

A Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with Rev. Ben Kempfert officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
