I-S senior to represent Iola community

By Holly Neumann

Cameron Harbridge, daughter of Mike and Jeannine Harbridge, has been selected as the 2022 Iola Winter Carnival Queen of Snows.

“It feels good to represent my community,” she said. “It is truly an honor. Now I can be a part of the history of the Iola Winter Carnival.”

Harbridge has been involved with the event for many years as a waitress during the lutefisk supper.

This year, she was excited to see some of the other events that take place.

“I really liked the ice carving and am looking forward to seeing the ski jumping,” she said. “There really is something for everyone. It feels good to be involved and experience new things.”

A senior at Iola-Scandinavia High School, Harbridge plans to attend a post-secondary school, but is unsure of what she would like to pursue.

Her interests include business, architecture and graphic design.
