Wolves to host Gresham Feb. 11

The Manawa girls’ basketball team split a pair of recent home games with Wittenberg-Birnamwood and White Lake.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood handed the Wolves a 58-31 loss one day after Manawa picked up a 70-9 Central Wisconsin Conference-North win over White Lake.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 58, Manawa 31

Reese Rogowski led Wittenberg-Birnamwood with 19 points after the Chargers outscored the Wolves 26-17 in the first half and 32-14 in the second.

Manawa 70, White Lake 9

Manawa improved to 12-7 overall and 10-0 in CWC-North play by handing the Lakers a loss.

Mikenna Wegener scored 10 points in the first half to help give Manawa a 39-0 lead at the break.
The Wolves then outscored the visitors 31-9 in the second half.

Maleah Pirk led the Wolves with 11 and Wegener added 10.

Katrina Pranke led White Lake with seven points.

Manawa will host Gresham at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11.
