Oconto Falls gets the win

Oconto Falls handed Waupaca a 64-25 loss Feb. 8 in a North Eastern Conference girls’ basketball game.

The Panthers scored the game’s first 10 points and Waupaca never got any closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Waupaca trailed 32-14 at halftime and Oconto Falls outscored the Comets 32-11 in the second half.

Rossi Wehmeyer led the Comets with 11 points and Hailey Peitersen led the Panthers with 11.

Waupaca traveled to Freedom Feb. 11 to face the Irish and will wrap up the regular season Thursday, Feb. 17, in Appleton against Fox Valley Lutheran.
