The Manawa girls’ basketball team ended up on the short end of a 57-49 score Feb. 11 in its Central Wisconsin Conference-North matchup with Gresham.

The teams are now tied for first place in the division with a 10-1 record.

Maddie Haffner scored eight of her game-high 20 points to help give Gresham a 27-24 halftime lead.

The Wolves were able to get within two points in the second half, but Haffner proved to be too much for the Wolves to handle, as she added 12 more points.

Marilyn Klatt led Manawa with 10 points, while Mikenna Wegener and Olivia Santos added nine and eight, respectively.

The Wolves headed to Wisconsin Rapids Feb. 14 to face Assumption and will wrap up the regular season at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Northland Lutheran.
