Iola-Scandinavia boys now 21-0

The home court has been an advantage lately for the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team.
The Thunderbirds wrapped up a four-game home stand Feb. 14 with a 57-42 win over Athens. The T-Birds also picked up wins over Sturgeon Bay, Shiocton and Marathon.

Parker Prahl scored a game-high 24 points for Iola-Scandinavia.
The T-Birds led 32-23 at halftime.
Kaden Jueds added 16 points for the T-Birds, as they improved to 21-0 on the season.
I-S 57, Sturgeon Bay 49
Prahl scored 24 points to lead the T-Birds over the Clippers Feb. 12.
Iola-Scandinavia led 25-15 at halftime.
I-S 63, Shiocton 35
Four players finished in double figures Feb. 11 for the T-Birds in a Central Wisconsin Conference-East matchup with the Chiefs.
The T-Birds led 36-15 at halftime.
Prahl led the team with 17 points, Isaiah Hoyord scored 14, Brock Wester added 13 and Ian Koss chipped in with 11.
Dawson Schmidt scored 23 points to lead Shiocton.
I-S 63, Marathon 30
Prahl scored 28 points Feb. 8 to lead the T-Birds to a win over the Red Raiders.
Nineteen of his points came in the first half, as the T-Birds built a 36-9 lead at the break.
Iola-Scandinavia then outscored the Red Raiders 27-21 in the second half.
Wester scored eight points for Iola-Scandinavia, while Grant Warren, Tyler Underwood and Nathan Hanke led Marathon with six each.
The T-Birds will head to Bonduel Thursday, Feb. 17, before hosting Manawa at 7;15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21.
