Rice leads Warhawks in scoring

Balanced scoring helped the Weyauwega-Fremont boys’ basketball team pick up a 68-53 win over Menominee Indian Feb. 21.
Five players finished in double figures for the Warhawks as the team improved to 4-7 in Central Wisconsin Conference-East games and 11-12 overall.
The Warhawks led by as many as 17 points in the first half and headed into the locker room at the break with a 35-21 lead.
The Eagles cut the lead to 10 points twice in the second half, but never got any closer.
Jaden Rice led the Warhawks with a game-high 20 points. Quinn Dittmann added 12, Hunter Meisenhelder scored 11 and Ethan Marquette and Brayden Arndt chipped in with 10 each.
Bryce Dixon and Isaiah Moss led the Eagles with 19 and 17 points, respectively.
Weyauwega-Fremont will wrap up the regular season at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at Amherst.
