The sweetness of love

Wood

Dear Reader,

There is a feeling that comes when you love someone and they just look out for you with every little detail that they know you like. They put the towel on the bathroom floor to keep your feet from getting cold after a shower, or put oranges in your tea to give you that spicy flavor you like. They start
the car in the cold winter mornings so that you can go to work in a warm car. They sprinkle pepper just right on your favorite omelette.

We need to look up from whatever we are doing that we think is important and focus on the unimportant. There is a sweetness in these little things, almost invisible in our lives of raging chaos. We need to give something to the tiny acts of kindness that are out there, if only they can be noticed.

My parting thought is that we might all be sensitized to those we love and offer that sweetness and forethought of service to them.
