Blank, LeeRoy R.

LeeRoy R. Blank of Waupaca, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Neenah on July 13, 1936 to the late Bernard and Hazel (Dunsirn) Blank. On August 11, 1956 he married Nancy Hoerning; she preceded him in death on May 28, 2018. LeeRoy worked for nine years at Hoerning Concrete Products. He was a Menasha Police Officer for 27 years, 3 months and 12 days. LeeRoy was First Sergeant with the Army Reserve for 32 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. LeeRoy was a good guy, he loved to hunt, fish, golf, camp and bowl. He was a lifetime member of Whitetails Unlimited.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Schneider and Becky Mach both of Waupaca; grandchildren: Jordan Schneider, Jenna (significant other, Tim) Schneider, Sara (significant other, Dennis) Rajkowski, LeeRoy Blank, Tabi (Zach) Klatt, Kari (significant other, Troy) Thorn, Tony (Samantha) Thorn, Danielle (Doug) Wheelock, Deavan (Anthony) Rhode; great-grandchildren: Kaela, Chloe, Tobin, Sebastian, Terry, Michael, Sophia, Austin, Anna, Riley, Marilyn, Lily, Nova, Ethan, Hunter and Mackenzie, Shelby, Scarlette, Skyler, Alayna, Serenity, Josie and Alex; brothers: Leonard (Linda) Blank, Fred (Pam) Blank, Steve (Marie) Blank; sisters, Patti (Dave) Krispel, Rosie (Miguel) DelaRosa; sisters-in-law, Jean Blank and Charlotte Barry; special friends, Tony (Bennie) Slomski, Mike (Linda) Muerher, many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry; brother, Jerry and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, in-laws, Bill and Rose Hoerning.

The Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 206 E. Badger St. Waupaca. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. The Maple Crest Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
