Waupaca County sheriff’s report March 29

• March 21 – An Ogdensburg man on Campbell Lake Road reported someone damaged his windshield. There was a glove on the scene that was not his.

• March 21 – A Waupaca man on McAllister Road reported that someone dropped off a trailer full of garbage and also left behind the trailer.

• March 21 – An Ogdensburg woman requested extra police presence in the evenings to deter drivers from doing burnouts on Main Street.

• March 21 – Three youth were involved in an altercation at Rawhide Boys Ranch.

• March 22 – A Weyauwega man reported a previous customer of his was harassing and threatening him through phone calls, text messages and threats on Facebook.

• March 23 – On this day the sheriff’s office received a huge number of calls reporting auto accidents and vehicles sliding into the ditch.

• March 23 – A Clintonville woman reported that a book of checks was stolen. One check was used in Green Bay for a payment of $7.21. She contacted the bank and all checks were cancelled.

• March 23 – A Waupaca woman reported that when she went out to her mailbox, she turned around and a man was standing behind her holding a stick. He stood there and did not say anything. He is wanted for jumping bail.

• March 23 – A Fremont woman reported her identity was stolen. She received two bills from Verizon under her name the day before. Verizon is not her carrier.

• March 23 – A Waupaca man on the N900 block of West Road reported someone dumped 25 tires in the ditch next to his property during the night.

• March 23 – An Iola man called to report his 37-year-old girlfriend was cold with no pulse and had rigor mortis.

• March 23 – A Waupaca woman on Nancy Lane reported that there is a bunch of garbage in her yard and its going to blow into the neighbor’s yard.

• March 23 – An Iola woman reported that her vehicle was taken without her consent but not reported as stolen. It was discovered in Appleton and it was towed back. Inside of the vehicle were possible burglary tools.

• March 23- At Fletch’s Corner Store in Embarrass a driver took off without paying for $115.94 in fuel. She was driving a white GMC SUV with a moon roof and tinted back windows.

• March 24 – A Weyauwega man on the N3600 block of State Highway 110 reported his neighbor was blasting music in his direction. He suspected it was being done intentionally.

• March 24 – A Manawa woman reported she was being tailgated by a truck hauling a white trailer. The truck passed her and the driver flipped her off.

• March 24 – A Weyauwega man on the N1000 block of County Trunk U reported two men in a grey pickup tore up his hayfield and were headed westbound.

• March 25 – A caller reported that vehicles were swerving to dodge an eagle feasting upon a road-kill raccoon on the centerline of the road. A deputy placed the dead raccoon in a nearby field “for the eagle’s delight.”

• March 25 – A Clintonville woman reported she had a credit card opened in her name and charges were put on it from Best Buy and Verizon.

• March 25 – An Iola woman on Thoe Road reported hearing noises outside. Her dogs were barking and clawing at the door.

• March 25 – Nelson’s Strike Zone in Waupaca reported a belligerent female that might have been “on something.” She was talking to herself and accusing patrons of stealing things. She refused to leave.

• March 26 – A New London woman on Stage Road reported that people were shooting “fibers” at her house that were activated by playing a noise. They were also spying on her.

• March 26 – A Waupaca man reported a suspicious hole in the window at Kmart.

• March 26 – An Iola man on reported he found a dog shot in the head in the front yard of a house his daughter was trying to purchase. The renter that lived there previously left the doors wide open and the large LP tank was missing.

• March 26 – An Ogdensburg man called concerned about a man who said he was feeling under the weather. Phone calls went unanswered. There was no movement in his home. A dog was barking inside and the man’s car had not moved.

• March 27 – A Waupaca man on McCrossen Road reported his drunk girlfriend was beating him. He was in the driveway waiting for an officer; she was on the porch.

• There were a number of callers reporting controlled burns and also building fires for maple syrup production.
