Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 25

• April 18 – A Manawa woman on Little Creek Road called to report a vehicle that drives by her home every afternoon. She said if her children are outside, he drives by even slower.

• April 18 – A man at North Gates Estates in New London called to say he was going through a divorce and staying at his uncle’s house. His stepson stopped by with a baseball bat, destroyed some property and threatened them.

• April 19 – A woman on Little Creek Road in Manawa reported a black Chevy Volt drives slowly down the road between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and seems to watch for kids coming off the school bus.

• April 19 – A Manawa woman on Bridge Street called to report a matted golden doodle wandering in the road.

• April 19 – A Waupaca woman on Shadow Road called to report a large plastic playhouse blew into the road and struck her vehicle while she was driving.

• April 19 – A Clintonville woman called to report her ex has been following her. It started in the morning and continued after work.

• April 19 – A Manawa man on Little Creek Road reported a male in a black Chevy Volt driving by very slowly. It has happened before.

• April 20 – A Waupaca man on Camp Road called to report that he gave a contractor a down payment for new gutters and never heard from him again after repeated attempts to contact him.

• April 20 – A Marion man reported a woman was depressed. She had bitten her tongue and there were rope marks around her neck. At the time of call she was breathing and walking around.

• April 20 – A Weyauwega woman called for police presence at her residence. There were people claiming to be from an insurance company coming to inspect her house for wind and hail damage. Every time she tried to call and cancel this, there was no answer.

• April 20 – A Waupaca woman on Akron Avenue called to say she was feeling really down but not suicidal. Her boyfriend was being evasive and she was depressed. She had a few drinks.

• April 21 – A Waupaca woman called to report her daughter did not show up at school. Her father messaged her at 2 a.m. to say she wasn’t going to school. The father did not communicate with the mother and did not respond to a parenting app.

• April 21 – A Manawa woman called to report a raccoon in her backyard. She believed it was dying of distemper.

• April 21 – A caller from Little Chute reported that he has a fishing raft between Barber’s Landing and Schuh’s Landing. A man keeps trespassing onto his raft and fishes without permission after being warned not to.

• April 22 – A Fremont man on Guhl Road called to report a raccoon on his property. He said he can’t shoot it because it was near a gas line and advised that an officer probably would not be able to shoot it but an officer should come out anyway.

• April 22 – A Weyauwega woman called for an officer to help her get her husband into the car. He was refusing to go to his doctor’s appointment.

• April 22 – A New London man on Lawrence Street called to report that a Starcraft boat drives through every night leaving a full wake in a no-wake zone.

• April 22 – A Weyauwega man on the N200 block of State Highway 49 reported a black Chevy Silverado that sat outside his house the night before and was there in the morning.

• April 22 – A New London woman reported a man in yellow reflective gear walking down the middle of Collier Road. He said he was walking to Big Falls and that he didn’t want a ride. He seemed drunk.

• April 22 – A Waupaca woman called asking to talk to a crisis worker. She was telling people she doesn’t want to live. She had not thought about suicide since high school.

• April 22 – A Weyauwega man called to report that a BEK Tree Service sign was stolen. A man in a black Tahoe took it.

• A New London woman on Buelow Road reported that two Rottweilers were in her backyard and chasing her horses.

• April 23 – TK Bar & Grill in Manawa called to report two men making a disturbance. They were fist fighting on the sidewalk but everything was calm at the time of the call.

• April 23 – A Waupaca man called about his wife. She took her medications earlier in the day be was not sure what she took. He described her as “wired.” The wife told the husband she wants him to kill her. She has been battling depression.

• April 23 – A Waupaca woman on Bags Hill Road broke up with her boyfriend and left her vehicle on his property with a dead battery. He provided her a different vehicle to drive but later took it back. She believed that he is using the car as a pawn to get her to come back to him.

• April 23 – A Fremont woman on Tamarack Way reported the death of a man with blood coming out of his head. Blood was all over the floor. She thought he may have fallen and that he may have been lying there for 30-45 minutes.

• April 23 – A Waupaca man on Anderson Road reported that a patio heater showed up at the end of his driveway with no explanation. He had no idea how it got there.

• April 23 – Fletch’s Corner Store in Embarrass reported a man buying a bottle of liquor and drinking it in the store. He was asked to leave but kept coming back. He made customers nervous by approaching young children and trying to give them money.

• April 23 – An Embarrass woman called to say there was a man at her residence “starting stuff.” She believes he was in his upstairs bedroom where he kept his knives.

• April 23 – A Clintonville woman on Buckbee Road reported an ongoing problem with someone being on their property. When they return home, a man runs to the abandoned house next door.
