Rosin tosses no-hitter

Manawa stayed at the top of the Central Wisconsin Conference-North softball standings April 28 with a 13-0 win over Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran.

Briley Rosin held the Wildcats hitless in the five-inning win, as Manawa improved to 4-0 in division play and 5-2 overall.

The Wolves used an eight-run second inning to take a 10-0 lead into the third frame.

Manawa added two more runs in the third and one in the fourth.

Jessica Velie drove in a team-high three runs, while Alaina Gast and Hailee Fenske drove in two each and Lily Krenke, Rosin; Kelsey Rosin and Mikenna Wegener added one.

Rosin struck out eight batters to get the win on the mound.
