Bulldogs edge Pulaski at home

All runs come in first inning

New London’s baseball team handed Pulaski a 3-2 loss May 23.

All five of the game’s runs came in the first inning.

Jackson Fields led New London at the plate with a pair of hits and Cole Penn drove in two runs.

Derek Helsten scattered six hits over seven innings to get the win on the mound.

New London wrapped up the regular season May 24 by hosting Shawano and will open WIAA state tournament play Thursday, May 26 at Hatten Park.

The third-seeded Bulldogs will host No. 6 Oconto Falls at 3:30 p.m. The winner will then head to Seymour Tuesday, May 31, to face the second-seeded Thunder.
