Driver killed in rollover on State 161
One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash shortly before 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 25 in the town of Helvetia.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on State Highway 161 when the driver lost control about one-half mile west of County Trunk E.
The vehicle overturned and the driver was ejected.
The Waupaca County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of the family.
