Waupaca County sheriff’s report May 30

• May 23 – A Waupaca man on Pine Lane reported that his dog dishes were missing and other things had been stolen in the past.

• May 23 – A Waupaca man on Rieben Road reported that vehicles from a nearby bar leave by squealing their tires and driving off at a high rate of speed. One did a donut in the middle of the road. This occurs on Friday and Saturday nights.

• May 23 – A woman reported that she had been assaulted: a drink was poured over her; she got punched, fell down and broke her glasses.

• May 23 – A New London woman on Stage Road reported a small dog was dropped off at her address. It was in rough shape and had matted fur.

• May 23 – A man on the Wolf River reported that two boats were driving too close to shore while he was fishing.

• May 23 – A Waupaca woman called to report her ex is moving out and he threatened her that he was going to have his new girlfriend “kick her ass.”

• May 23 – A Weyauwega man reported 12 goats were loose on Little River Road.

• May 24 – A Clintonville man reported that a person that he was with was “out of control.” They both had scrapes and were bleeding.

• May 24 – A Fremont woman reported her ex-boyfriend would be moving his items out of her house on Saturday, May 28. He had been calling and threatening her.

• May 24 – A Marion man called to report that his 18-year-old neighbor was swearing at him.

• May 24 – Noffke Lumber reported their fence was hit on May 18 by a semi that took off and did not report the incident. Kwik Trip had a video recording of it.

• May 24 – A Waupaca woman on Raymond Drive reported a person threw a can at her and hit her in the head and threw the television around.

• May 24 – An Iola man on County Trunk C reported he received a threatening letter in the mail. The letter stated he is neglecting his animals and child and that he has one month to rectify the situation or they will contact authorities. The letter was unsigned.

• May 24 – A New London man reported a dark blue Chevy sedan at the end of Rawhide Road while walking his dog. A black male was sitting there with a hookah pipe.

• May 24 – A Waupaca woman on Wilson Drive reported people speeding down her road. One vehicle was a mid 1990s Camero that was black or brown and was doing burnouts.

• May 25 – A Clintonville woman reported that she received a Microsoft error on her computer and let someone else remotely access it. She paid them $198 and bought them $400 in gift cards. She gave the gift card numbers to “Microsoft.”

• May 25 – A Waupaca woman on Wilson Drive called about a suspicious black Camero that had been parking overnight on the road. It was not the landowner’s vehicle.

• May 25 – An Iola woman reported that a female posted an image of a small handgun that was loaded. The female wrote that she was done trying: “I love you all. I let you all down. I don’t care. I want to stop it all and let my mind be at peace.”

• May 26 – A Waupaca woman from Durrant Road called to report that while she was driving she was side-swiped by a white truck with a trailer. The truck did not stop.

• May 26 – Little Wolf High School in Manawa reported that there was a black Tesla parked near the fitness center. The male driver was walking around in a hooded sweatshirt and using the school’s outlet to charge the vehicle.

• May 26 – A Fremont woman reported that she was contacted by the Neenah Police Department about a brain-damaged man that was on a “bad streak.” They warned he might try to bother her. He had been warned of stalking before. The man was now sitting at the park.

• May 27 – A Weyauwega woman stopped by the sheriff’s office. The previous residents of the house that she lives in were sending her harassing text messages.

• May 27 – An Iola woman call to report that her neighbor was at her door, threatening her and would not leave. The neighbor has a concealed carry weapons permit but no gun was visible.

• May 27 – A Fremont man on Wolf River Drive reported a maroon ford F150 hit some mailboxes and almost hit some people.

• May 27 – A caller on a cell phone reported a cow walking down the road near the Iola Car Show grounds.

• May 28 –The Bridge Bar in Fremont reported a fight in the parking lot. About 20 people involved.

• May 28 – A New London woman that was out of town called to report that her husband’s diabetic alarm was going off and she could not reach him by phone.

• May 28 – An unknown caller reported a brown Chevy truck doing burnouts by the Landing Strip.

• May 28 – An Ogdensburg man reported that his neighbors were throwing trash in is pasture. A deer skull was amongst the garbage.

• May 28 – An Iola woman requested an officer to assist her. Her boyfriend was refusing to leave her home. Nothing violent, he just would not get up and go from the living room chair.

• May 28 – A Waupaca man reported a man and a woman in a black Chevy van with Illinois plates stole some antiques from him, including a ceramic pig.

• May 28 – An unknown caller reported eight Holstein cows loose on Weinmann Road.

• May 28 – A deputy was approached by a fisherman that requested more water patrol on the Wolf River near Fremont. He said there were many boats travelling too fast for conditions.

• May 28 – A Waupaca woman on East Lake Street called to report that someone just ripped off their front screen door and she believed they were circling to the back of her house.

• May 29 – Bear Lake Campground reported a male was lighting off fireworks. A staffer told him to stop and they got into an altercation.

• May 29 – A Fremont man reported that he bought something off of Facebook marketplace. When he wanted to return the item, the seller threatened him.

• May 29 – An Ogdensburg woman reported a male on Swamp Road was drag racing and left black skids marks on the pavement.

• May 29 – A New London woman called and said something was scratching at her door and then she heard the door handle jiggle. She could not tell who or what it was.

• May 30 – A Waupaca woman called to report her husband was acting crazy. She said he hit her but she did not want an ambulance.

• May 30 – A Waupaca woman reported that her son came home, demanded money, threatened to slash her tires and kicked in the door.

• During this period, the water patrol stopped multiple boats on the Wolf River, there were numerous deer-auto collisions and motor vehicle accidents and one animal problem involving a snapping turtle.
