Clintonville school staff retiring

Eight employees with over 200 years of combined experience

The Clintonville Public School District recognized eight employees who will retire this year.

Veronica Campbell taught family and consumer sciences, creative foods and chef’s class and was the faculty advisor for FCCLA. She worked in the district for 24 years.

Becky Polzin was with the district for 22 years. She taught seventh through 12th grades and FVTC credit classes. She also served the district as yearbook advisor, basketball coach, running club coach and honors reading advisor.

An employee of Clintonville schools for 21 years, Renata Curran taught English, German, math, social studies, physical science and special education.

Pam Skokan worked 31 year for the district. During her career, she taught fourth through eighth grades and worked as an At-Risk/Success coordinator, Math League Coach, Odyssey of the Mind coach, coached volleyball and gymnastics.

Retiring after 40 years with Clintonville schools, Steve Reinke is administrator of buildings and grounds. He was hired as a maintenance mechanic, named 2009 WASBO State Facilities Manager of the year, and named 2010 WSSCA Safety Coordinator of the Year runner up.

Dan Scherschel taught world studies, U.S. history, Latin America studies, current issues, people and places, Middle Eastern Studies, international relations, economics and American gvernment for 26 years in Clintonville. He was Student Council advisor for 10 years.

Jan Ptacek was a special education reading and intervention teacher with the district for 37 years.
Craig Messner wa a maintenance mechanic for 15 years.
