Waupaca County sheriff’s report June 6

• May 31 – A Weyauwega caller reported that she was a victim of fraud. She provided the numbers of various cards to an individual named “James Wilson” and now had lost $4,500.

• May 31 – A Clintonville woman on Jannusch Road reported that a suspicious man dressed in camouflage with “crazy black-brown hair” was walking down the road with a rifle.

• June 1 – A Waupaca man on Golke Road reported being scammed out of $1,000 from Green Dot, the world’s largest prepaid debit card company.
• June 1 – A caller reported there was a tree in the power lines on County Trunk E north of Big Falls.

• June 1 – A Marion woman called and was crying. She did not say what was happening and did not want to talk about it. She did not want an officer to visit, nor an ambulance.

• June 1 – A Clintonville man called to report that a female had permission to use her mother’s car until Monday afternoon and now she would not return the car.

• June 1 – A Scandinavia woman reported getting a Snap Chat message from a man that stated he “Couldn’t do it anymore.” The male lived with his father and had a history of self harm.

• June 1 – An anonymous caller reported a juvenile runaway. The juvenile left the residence five minutes earlier dressed in a gray tank top and black shorts. The juvenile left a note indicating depression and saying, “Sure would be a shame if something happened to me.”

• June 2 – An unknown caller reported a man driving an asphalt truck and was using a walking stick to drive the truck. The caller believed the driver was under the influence of something.

• June 2 – A Waupaca woman reported that she gave someone permission to fix her 4-wheeler. He took the vehicle and registered it in his name. He later brought it back broke.

• June 2 – An Iola woman reported that she was involved in a scam since April 28. A message appeared on her screen to call a number and then a third party accessed her computer remotely.

• June 2- The commandant of the Wisconsin Veterans Home reported that there was a “diversion of narcotics by an employee.”

• June 2 – A Waupaca woman on Indian Valley Road reported a suspicious car that had been parked alongside the road for the last few days.

• June 2 – A Marion woman reported an address where there were people of all ages in different vehicles coming and going throughout the day and night. She thought drugs were involved.

• June 2- A Waupaca caller on Melody Lane reported a fight between a man and a woman.

• June 2 – A Marion woman called crying and said she needed help but nobody would help her. She said she needed help because she was an alcoholic.

• June 3 – The Clintonville Police Department called for assistance with an intoxicated driver heading toward Shawano.

• June 4 – A Weyauwega woman called to report a barefooted drunk woman that appeared at her campsite.

• June 4 – A man from Sussex called concerned about a man who lives in Waupaca County. The man was texting him and saying how alone he was, that no one was around and that he would “see him on the other side.” The caller could not reach the man by phone or text message.

• June 4 – A Waupaca woman on Stonefield Court reported a 20-year old man wearing an orange T-shirt who was acting strange and was possibly under the influence of something.

• June 4 – An Ogdensburg man on Rail Road called to request an officer to help settle a dispute about a fence line.

• June 4 – A New London caller requested an ambulance for a man who was loading a 4-wheeler and it flipped back and landed on top of him. They pulled the vehicle off of him and he was breathing.

• June 4 – A Clintonville woman on Harriet Street called to report a man who would not leave the property. He did not live there. He was outside arguing with the “baby mom.”

• June 4 – A New London man on Surprise Ending Road reported that at 2:30 a.m. his buddy punched him in the face and then kicked him in the face and knocked him out.

• June 4 – An Ogdensburg man reported that he lives with his grandmother. While he was gone the night before, his uncle came by and cut the padlock off of his bedroom door and rummaged through his dresser.

• June 4 – A Waupaca woman called to report that her mother was suicidal and that she was going to “wrap her car around a tree.” The mother has a history of mental illness and had made threats in the past.

• June 5 – An Iola man on McKinley Street reported a hit-and-run that happened overnight. Blue paint was left on the damaged area of his vehicle.

• June 5 – An Iola man on County Trunk P reported his mailbox was smashed.

• June 5 – An Ogdensburg man on Rail Road reported an altercation that was “a little bit” physical. Three people were involved.

• During this period, the water patrol stopped multiple boats on the Wolf River, there were numerous deer-auto collisions, many reports of controlled burns and there was one report of cows that got loose and another report of a pony running amuck.
