Larry J. Davis, age 78, New London, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, due to complications with COPD.
He was born on November 11, 1943, in New London, son of Donald and Alice (Heman) Davis. Larry graduated from New London High School in 1961. On May 25, 1990, he was united in marriage to Susan C. Thompson at the Outagamie County Courthouse in Appleton. He worked at Buss Electric for 27 years, retiring in 2002. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, road trips with his wife, riding his moped around town, watching Nascar racing, and fishing. Larry had a passion for woodworking, making unique birdhouses, special projects upon request, and fixing things.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Jill (Keith) Danke; son, Peter (Jennifer Frank) Davis; stepson, Jim (Sharon) Moeller; stepdaughter, Samantha (Brian) Rill; grandchildren: Jordyn (James), Madalyn (fiancé Donathan); Dalton (fiancée Katie); Desiree; Mackenzie and Aaron; and great-granddaughter, Annalise. He is further survived by his brother, Roger (Carol) Davis; sister-in-law, Patty Davis; brother-in-laws, Sam (Liz) Thompson, Richard (Linda) Thompson; aunt, Lois (Dennis) Zemple; and countless extended family and friends.
His parents, brother, Neil Davis, and nephew, Dan Davis, preceded him in death.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, there was a private service for his family. Offerings of sympathy and condolences can be extended through Cline Hansen Funeral Home, New London.
The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Berlin Hospital for their compassionate care.
