Waupaca County sheriff’s report June 26

• June 20 – A Waupaca man on Murray Lane called concerned about the fire alarm in his basement. Someone with a mobile app disabled the system.

• June 20 – A Big Fall resident called to report a fire in their garage.

• June 20 – A Waupaca man on Wilderness Drive reported a trespasser videotaping on his property.

• June 20 – A Scandinavia woman reported via Facebook that her neighbors were shooting firearms in an unsafe manner.

• June 20 – A Clintonville woman on Velte Road reported a 37-year old man passed out on the floor and snoring.

• June 20 – A woman reported that someone sent some nude images to a woman on Snapchat and that woman sent the nude images to the caller’s husband.

• June 20 – A Marion man called about a woman who said she didn’t want to live anymore. She wouldn’t wake up in the morning and there were three children in the house.

• June 21 – An Iola man reported his wife was acting odd and wanted to speak with an officer about it while she was at work.

• June 21 – A Clintonville man reported a recently refueled riding lawnmower on fire.

• June 21 – The Scandinavia C Store reported two gas drive-offs by the same vehicle.

• June 21 – An officer from Outagamie County called to report that an insurance adjuster visited a Waupaca County property and found several large dead animals covered up with manure and dogs locked in a room too small for them to occupy.

• June 21 – Wolf River Trips in New London called to report that a group of girls were lost. They no longer had their tubes. They were where the Little Wolf meets the Wolf River.

• June 21 – Aspirus Iola called concerned about a patient. Her lab results came back with low hemoglobin. They could not contact her and think she may have passed out.

• June 21 – A Clintonville man reported a suspicious person walking around an auto lot with a flashlight. The person took off south in a vehicle.

• June 22 – An Ogdensburg man on Granite Quarry Road called to report a suspicious Ford station wagon that had been sitting there for a few days with no plates.

• June 22 – A Waupaca man reported a vehicle straddling both lanes on Fulton Street and swerving around on U.S. Highway 10.

• June 22 – A New London man yelled at some people for “Tearing up Northport,” with their motorcycles. Then those people came onto his property with their motorcycles, broke down a fence and “verbally assaulted” him.

• June 22 – An anonymous caller reported a domestic dispute. When asked if she was injured, she replied: “You probably shouldn’t see me.”

• June 23 – Manawa Elementary School reported one of their teachers was involved in a road rage incident. Driving from New London, the teacher pulled into the school parking lot and was followed by a motorcyclist.

• June 23 – A Clintonville man on Airport Road reported damage to his mailbox.

• June 23 – A Weyauwega woman stopped at the sheriff’s office. Her son was visiting the area and she believed he might show up at her home and cause a problem.

• June 23 – A New London woman on the N6500 block of State Highway 45 reported that a person installed a washer and dryer at her home, stole a bunch of stuff and went to a pawn shop.

• June 23 – A 911 caller reported a 40-year old man in Royalton with a possible pulse but not breathing.

• June 23 – A caller reported a possible fraud. He was called by a legal outsourcing firm that said they have his Social Security number and that he was refusing to comply with their requests.

• June 24 – A woman called to report that while walking her dog, another dog from two houses away charged them and started biting her dog. Her dog was not injured.

• June 24 – A marshal from the Wisconsin Supreme Court contacted the sheriff’s office concerning a letter about assassinating a Waupaca County judge and another person. The letter was from an incarcerated man.

• June 24 – Manawa Elementary School called to report a possible fraud. A woman called them after getting a call from an individual impersonating someone from the school district.

• June 24 – A Weyauwega man called to report that the night before he was lured to the Landing Strip by two strippers and the boyfriend of one stripper assaulted him. The caller said he had a broken jaw.

• June 24 – The Northport Convenience Store in New London reported a fuel drive off by a dark-colored Honda. The value was $50.

• June 25 – A New London man called to report his daughter and her boyfriend were arguing.

• June 25 – A Iola man reported suspicious car that kept driving up and down Helgeson Road and sitting at the intersection of Johnson and Helgeson roads.

• June 25 – Kinney Lake Campground in Marion reported a break-in from the night before.

• June 25 – A Fremont man on Marten Road reported that someone ripped his mailbox post out of the ground and threw it in his driveway. The same thing happened a month ago. He has also had a mattress, garbage, a sink and a refrigerator tossed in his driveway.

• June 25 – A Scandinavia woman reported that a dog bit the Amazon delivery driver.

• June 25 – An Iola man on Johnson Road reported that someone broke into his garage. Items were missing.

• June 25 – A Waupaca man reported a yellow school bus pulled into the laundry mat parking lot across from the Clearwater Harbor Bar. Five men emerged from the bus and urinated in the parking lot.

• June 25 – A Fremont man on Marion Lane called to report loud music and cars revving their engines excessively. Alcohol was involved.
• June 26 – A Waupaca woman on Silver Lake Drive reported her friend called her and said her boyfriend took her money and “punched a bunch of holes in the house.”

• June 26 – A man at a rental cottage in Fremont reported a drunken boater trying to load a firearm and hitting the dock. The caller thought he heard gunfire.

• June 26 – A woman at Jellystone Campground in Fremont reported that someone tried to break into her camper and they took the door off her shed. Two people were involved, one was a girl with long dark hair.

• June 26 – A Waupaca man called to report three cats locked inside a recreational vehicle parked at some storage units.
• June 26 – A Waupaca man reported that at the channel between Camp Onaway and Sunset Lake, a pontoon boat was anchored 75 feet from the boathouse. There was a jet ski running at full speed within the 100-foot limit.

• June 26 – A Marion man called to report a juvenile boy who was hitting his mother and threatening to run away.

• June 26 – A Waupaca man on Glenvale Court reported a relative was being combative. There were no weapons but the caller was bitten on the neck during the family gathering.

• During this period, the water patrol stopped multiple boats on the Wolf River, there were numerous deer-auto collisions, many reports of controlled burns and there was one report of three cows on State Highway 45, a loose horse near Bear Creek and one beagle roaming around.
