Janet M. Fossum, age 64, of Waupaca, WI, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI.

She was born August 23, 1957 in Ashland, WI; daughter of Clarence and Mary (Nelson) Gregoire. On May 26, 1979, Janet married Gary Fossum in Ashland and together they raised two wonderful children. They moved from Ashland to Waupaca in 1997 where she started working at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, first as a CNA and then as their full-time beautician. Janet had a talent for crafts and could knit, crochet or sew just about anything. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Janet is survived by her husband of 43 years Gary Fossum of Waupaca; two children Lana (Christopher) Fahser of Waupaca and Nicholas Fossum of Waupaca; two grandchildren Leah and Chloe Fahser of Waupaca; her mother Marylou Gregoire of Ashland; five siblings Debbie (Steve) Bachand of Washburn, Donna (Tom) Stephens of Washburn, Diane Gregoire of Ashland, Sherri (Rob) Dietrich of Ashland, and James (Crystal) Gregoire of Ashland; three brothers-in-law James Fossum of Waupaca, Richard Fossum of Waterford, and Tom (Kathy) Fossum of Duluth, MN; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Gregoire.

A Celebration of Janet’s Life will be on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Dayton Town Hall, N2285 State Road 22, Waupaca, WI 54981. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
