Sanger, Janet Helen

Janet Helen Sanger, age 79, joined her heavenly home on June 25, 2022

while at Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI after a short but fierce battle with cancer.

Jan was born on October 19, 1942, in Chicago to Jim and Ruth (Pierce) Hillcoat. She graduated from Baraboo high school in 1961. Jan married the love of her life Karl Sanger on June 12, 1965. They recently celebrated their 57th anniversary.

Jan and Karl were a hard-working team as they owned and operated Sanger Pharmacy in Weyauwega, WI for over 35 years! Jan did an amazing job balancing her work, and family out of her home office. In 2007, Jan and Karl moved to Naples, Fl. and later to the Island of Capri. They liked to end their day with a home cooked meal and meaningful conversations overlooking Pompano Bay. Jan loved to cook and was always looking for the next recipe to wow her family! She loved antiquing and had a true knack of transforming an outdated piece of furniture into a unique treasure. She was an active member at Capri Christian Church and could regularly be observed brightly dressed and singing praises to her Lord.

Jan is survived by her loving husband Karl Sanger of Naples Fl; her children: Matt (Jenny) Sanger Waupaca Wi, Torri and (Robert) Cruz Plano, TX, Janah and (Brian) Kaminske Weyauwega, WI; grandchildren: Nathan Kaminske (Fiancée Jess Stanchik), Karter Kaminske, Sydney Sanger, Brock Sanger, Gavin Cruz, Alison Kaminske, Sayah Sanger, Ian Cruz, Luke Sanger; siblings: Geri (Richard) Schoenoff, Lois (Roy) Luther, Darlene (Ed) Reichmann, Dan (Marcia) Hillcoat and James Hillcoat. She is further survived by very special nieces, nephews, dear friends and her loyal furry companion, Sammy who was always at her side.

A memorial service for Jan will be held at noon on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Celebration Center from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, everyone is invited to continue to celebrate Jan’s life at the Kaminske residence: N2356 Reek Rd. Weyauwega, WI.
