An Evolving World

Wood

Dear Reader,

Have you ever visited with a memory of long ago?

At first it seems special to think of those times, but once you’re there lodged in the past, you fully realize that so much was missing.

I once traveled to Chivay in the upper highlands of Peru. The sun shone brightly as I listened to a recording of Judy Collins singing “Send in the Clowns” and watched women of Incan descent spinning alpaca for sweaters.

Back then, that was enough for then, for that time. But now I see that there was so much missing. It’s
because as big as the world seemed back then, it has since gotten so much bigger.
