Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 18

• July 11 – A Waupaca man on Mary Jane Circle reported a loan was taken out in his name without his knowledge and now the loan has been sent to collection.

• July 11 – Parents visited to the sheriff’s office to speak with a deputy about their daughter’s boyfriend. She is a minor and he is not. He was behaving in manipulative ways and they were worried the problem may escalate.

• July 11 – A cell phone caller reported a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sitting in the ditch a half-mile east of Northport.

• July 11 – A Marion man on County Trunk S reported his door was busted in and his TV and stereo were missing.

• July 11 – Clintonville Family Dental called for a welfare check. A elderly man called and stated that his bags were packed and he needed help ASAP. He lives with his daughter and son-in-law and he said they took his keys away.

• July 11 – A New London woman on U.S. Highway 45 called to report an uninvited man was in her yard wearing a white suit and cutting down trees.

• July 11 – A Weyauwega man on River Road came across a man in a white van sitting in an awkward position. He tapped on the side window. There was no response. He called 911.

• July 11 – A Marion woman on Ramsdell Street called about a dog barking nonstop since 10 p.m. She made her call at 2 a.m.

• July 12 – A Weyauwega woman on White Lake Road reported she found a half-full can of beer in her garden. She was worried she was being watched.

• July 12 – A Waupaca woman on Melody Lane reported a possible fraud. She was contacted by Amazon who then supposedly transferred her to a Social Security office. The caller provided her bank balances, checking account information, a photo of her driver’s license and more personal information.

• July 12 – A New London woman on County Trunk W reported her email and other social media accounts were hacked by her ex-boyfriend. She took some screenshots and wanted to speak to an officer.

• July 12 – A caller said that his mother is in a nursing home in Waupaca. He brother called him and told him that he just drove by her house and a trailer was backed up the residence and people were taking stuff.

• July 12 – A New London woman reported her 22 year-old son did not show up for work today which is unusual. He lives with her and she had not seen him since the day before.

• July 12 – Waupaca Mobil requested an officer to look into a pickup truck that was stuck in the mud with passengers that “seemed strung out on something.”

• July 12 – A Clintonville man on Main Street reported his soon-to-be ex-wife was on his property and he had court papers indicating she was not allowed on the premise. She was in the house and garage and now was sitting in a chair in the lawn waving at him.

• July 12 – A Manawa man reported some kids were fishing by the dam and left a bunch of garbage.

• July 12 – A caller left his friend’s house. The friend’s girlfriend told him in was trying to break into a gun safe to obtain a firearm to commit suicide. The friend said, “I will be dead before the cops get here.” The caller believes his friend does not have the gun safe code.

• July 12 – A female stopped by the sheriff’s office to discuss methamphetamine issues in Scandinavia.

• July 13 – A Clintonville woman on Seventh Street reported a male on a black motorcycle passing vehicles going over 100 mph. It was an ongoing problem.

• July 13 – A Waupaca caller on Hill Street reported a death. He was unsure if the man was still breathing.

• July 13 – A Weyauwega man on Highway 110 reported a motorcyclist that was speeding and doing wheelies.

• July 13 – A Waupaca man on Round Lake Drive cut his arm with a circular saw. An ambulance was dispatched.

• July 14 – Spencer Lake Bible Camp reported a juvenile out of control. He was being physical because he was being sent home. He was sitting on the ground with counselors and making threats.

• July 14 – A Clintonville man on Waupaca Street reported his brother passed away recently and he suspected someone was coming onto the property and stealing gas.

• July 14 – A Manawa caller on Lake Street reported that her neighbors’ dogs killed three sheep.

• July 14 – Camp Young Judea near Waupaca reported two employees were fired and one made a threat.

• July 14 – An unknown caller reported his cows had injuries to their ears and faces. He thought it might have been a wolf.

• July 14 – Sunset BP near Weyauwega reported finding a soda cup filled with syringes and needles.

• July 14 – A Bear Creek woman reported a smoldering heap of materials on a nearby lot that was under construction. The stink was so bad she couldn’t go outside on her own property.

• July 15 – Little Falls Tavern in Marion reported a burglary. A screen and window were removed to get access. Beer, booze and a cash register were missing.

• July 15 – A New London man on Huntley Road reported money was drawn out of his checking account by means of a fake check made out for $162.

• July 15 – A woman on McAllister Road reported two pit bulls running around her yard. It is an ongoing problem and they run at her children a lot and she is afraid for her kids.

• July 15 – A Waupaca caller on Duvenick Lane reported that he bought a car from E-Bay Motors and thinks he was scammed.

• July 15 – A Weyauwega woman on South Street reported she was receiving threatening texts from her husband. He told her he was going to find her and “make her wish she never knew him.”

• July 15 – An anonymous caller reported a possible underage drinking party with 300 people invited. The caller saw online posts about it encouraging people to bring their own alcohol.

• July 15 – A Manawa caller on Much Road woke up to find his brown 2014 Nissan Altima missing. He believes it was taken by a man that stays with him sometimes. The man was never given permission to use the vehicle.

• July 15 – A Waupaca caller on Fern Avenue reported that people were still towing tubs on Long Lake after the water skiing hours.

• July 16 – A woman reported that a black spray-painted school bus opened the rear emergency door while traveling down the highway. The passengers flashed their genitals. The caller had children in her car.

• July 16 – A Weyauwega man on State Highway 110 reported his troublesome neighbor was yelling profanities at him.

• July 17 – A Waupaca man on County Trunk QQ reported there was a “crazy person here” who was drinking and driving and kept returning to punch the caller’s girlfriend in the face. The person now would not leave.

• July 17 – An unknown caller believed his neighbor might be dead. A car in his neighbor’s driveway had all the windows open for several days.

• July 17 – A Fremont caller on Riverview Drive reported an intoxicated man walked out onto a dock and laid down and wasn’t getting back up.

• During this period, a large number of suspicious vehicles were reported throughout the county. Also there were numerous reports of trees blocking roads and crashed into utility lines. The water patrol stopped a few boats on the Wolf River, there were numerous deer-auto collisions and many reports of controlled burns.
