Driver hits squad car, then power pole
A man apparently fleeing deputies collided with a squad car and a power pole shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 15.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an underage drinking party on the E300 block of Bestul Road in the town of Scandinavia.
According to Sgt. Josh Krueger, it was reported that an invite was spread via Snapchat to about 300 juveniles.
 While deputies were en route, windows were reported broken on the property.
When deputies arrived, a 21-year-old man left the scene in his car, struck a squad car and continued west on Bestul Road.
Deputies pursued the vehicle a short distance until it crashed into a power pole and rolled over.
The driver received treatment for his injuries and was booked into the county jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
