Scott R. Montgomery, age 57, of Waupaca, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
He was born August 12, 1964 in Waupaca; son of Robert and Peggy (Rowley) Montgomery. Growing up Scott was active in the community as he was a member of 4-H, FFA, and the Waupaca Speedskating Club. During high school, he enjoyed being a member of the choir and was involved in their musicals, and later, the Waupaca Community Chorus. Scott was a master scuba diver and had an interest in his Scottish heritage where he enjoyed attending the Highland Games of Wisconsin. In 2000, he was blessed to have been an organ recipient and we are so blessed to have had these past 22 years with our son, brother, and uncle. Scott will be dearly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Scott is survived by his father Robert Montgomery of Waupaca; four siblings Brent Montgomery of Waupaca, Bridget (Brent Andersen) Montgomery-Hamm of Fremont; Kirk (Bobbie Jo) Montgomery of Waupaca, and Tammy (David) Wohlt of Marion; nieces and nephews Marshall (Stephanie) Montgomery of Waupaca, Gavin (Eryn) Montgomery of California, Valerie Montgomery of Waupaca, Melinda Montgomery of Waupaca, Cameron Hamm of Waupaca, Kyle Hamm of Fremont, Collin Hamm of Fremont, Erin Montgomery of Waupaca, Logan Montgomery of Waupaca, Lindsey Montgomery of Waupaca, Megan (Todd) Anderson of Michigan, and Edward Wohlt of Fremont; great-niece Hope Anderson of Michigan; great-nephew Bellamy Hollman of Waupaca; and also by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Montgomery; a brother-in-law Mark Hamm; maternal grandparents Frank and Margaret Rowley; and paternal grandparents LeRoy and Irma Montgomery.
A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home. Burial will take place following the service on Saturday at Baldwins Mill Cemetery in the Town of Royalton, Waupaca Co., WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Scott’s name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
